Hi Christie

Thanks for the post. You could probably leave the cake at the Pocket Sandwich Theater for him. He doesn't live on Reiger any more. He lives in an apt behind the shopping mall where the Pocket is.

You can also send me and email at info@hisnameisbob.com

Thanks, Great story.

Hi... I was fortunate enough to meet Bob on the last day of the State Fair. My boyfriend and I gave him a ride home to the Mockingbird Jason's Deli. I live very close to there so it was quite a surprise that he specifically asked us out of a crowd of people if we would take him to Mockingbird.... that's exactly where we were going! I feel like God put us there to take him home that night, like God was watching after Bob.

He made a huge impact on me after he made me laugh so hard in the car that I cried... so I baked him some pumpkin bread to say thank you. I would like to bring it to him and am going to try to find his house on Reiger Street or look for him around the Pocket Sandwhich Theatre today. I had his phone number but recently lost my phone contacts. I am glad to see someone else out there cares about Bob. If you have an idea of where he might be today, please let me know. His pumpkin bread is waiting.

We have a sound editor now, Phil Rogers, from Take 1 Studios in Dallas. We are in the process of prepping files to send to him.

We are STOKED!

The first few chapter are really coming together. Sebastian has been putting in late nights on perfecting them. Heather has been working hard as well editing - the voice of reason amidst the creative cacophony!

I met Bob last night in Dallas at a bar/music venue where my son-in-law was playing music with his band MATAS. When I first saw him milling around I thought this person must be drunk. He was bouncing up and down as he walked through the crowd. He was carrying around his keyboard and appearing to be having a wonderful time listening to MATAS play. He kept yelling to my son-in-law, "get down, boy." After the show we ventured downstairs to the bar area and there was Bob. He approached my husband and I and struck up a conversation. He decided to play the wedding march for us since we were celebrating our 22 wedding anniversary. He then played other hymns for us which we were able to distinguish without any problem. We enjoyed Bob and would have given him a ride home but we were traveling with someone else and there was no room left in the car. Some people at the show appeared to be afraid of Bob or give him strange looks but he'd just smile at them and move on. He never asked us for anything but a ride and if we would like to hear him play another tune on his keyboard. I pray that anyone who meets Bob will see him as a special gift from God and will give him the time of day because he deserves as much. God speed Bob and if we meet again, I'll give you a ride.

I met Bob a couple of times at the Thursday night music jam at the Sons of Hermann Hall in Dallas. He played his keyboard with some of us there last night and asked me for a ride home when the session was over. On the way, he told me about the web site and I read his history today for the first time. What a touching and inspiring story of overcoming adversity! Bob has known more difficultly than most of us will ever encounter and is an example to all of us of how life is what you make it. Most of us, quick to complain and dwell on the comparatively small problems we face, can learn a lot from Bob’s story. Heather, Lisa, Sebastian, and Bob, I look forward eagerly to your film.

We played last Saturday at Lee Harvey's and it was a pleasure to have Bob bring his keyboard up on stage with us - spent the entire night playing with us... three full sets. The crowd totally dug it and, and when we made a plea from the mic, came up with a coffee can full of cash for Bob to get a cab ride home. Perfect. if you guys are looking for soundtrack music for the "my name is bob" project, let us know - we'd love to contribute. A bunch of our tunes made the soundtrack of last year's "Bodacious Boots" documentary featured in the Dallas Film Festival.
